Description

A recent acquisition original artwork for the Belgium poster from 1948. Artist name is Jiel (last name unknown), any more info would be appreciated. Adventures of Robin Hood is one of my all time favorite films, I love the old swashbucklers Captain Blood, Against All Flags and many of the 60s and 70s Sinbad films. This was a complete surprise when this popped up I do not get many original poster artwork. While I have never seen the original to any of the American posters for the film, I am very satisfied with the Belgium. Amazing its still around after all these years.

The Belgian poster artworks are a real joy to behold, congrats on landing such a terrific piece of art. I briefly had this painting in my possesion as it was relayed to me in a package from Hertitage that I was forwarding on to the previous owner (minus some other art by Robert McGinnis that I was retaining).
