DescriptionHere's a little piece of Marvel history. It's the climactic finale to the Kree/Skrull War featuring Rick Jones and Marvel's golden age heroes (in their first modern appearance). Just an iconic piece by Gil Kane and Bill Everett.The art itself is very unusual. It's a velum piece, but I've never seen such a thin grade used in comic art. The velum is completely glued to the artboard, which I consider a plus as Kane's original pencils are still underneath (very rare in velum art from the period). In order to do it justice, I sent the art to a stat maker friend of mine. He did an incredible job building a frame around the piece and adding an acetate overlay with stats. This was done to make a great presentation, while allowing the viewer to easily see the oa in it's original condition. The art is attached by plastic corner sleeves, which lets me take it out as I like with no hassle. Social/Sharing |

Classic is an understatement for this one -- and GREAT work on the restoration! Kane plus Everett plus Timely Heroes = the historic finale of the Kree/Skrull War! EPIC COVER!

The Fin being on the cover would be reason enough to rejoice, in my opinion, but, wow, Everett inking Kane on the cover of the final issue of the Kree/Skrull War Saga featuring a great set of Timely heroes hurtling themselves toward the reader is magic. And the restoration work you had done looks great. Tips hat.

Wow! everytime I see an Everett inked work, I am always amazed how he's able to not only retain the original penciler's style but yet make his work really stand out. Absolutely gorgeous. And I absolutely love the Invaders!

I am SO MUCH IN LOVE with the 20 cent Marvel cover period. The masthead and the 'boxed in' art, often times leaping out of it as this does. Simply my favorite time period for Marvel cover art.
