DescriptionSome great Marvel milestones are featured on this one: The origin of Iron Man, Odin defeating Surtur, and the FF's 1st encounter with the Puppet Master! But none these depictions hit quite like the impending lynching of future X-Men, Cyclops and Iceman. While I agree that it's a disturbing image, one needs to remember that Lee & Kirby created mutantkind as a parable for the civil rights movement that was churning in the South at that time. I'm just grateful that, despite all of the insanity going on in the country today, at least we've tried to move on past scenes like this. Art is by the X-Men's greatest fill-in artist, Brent Anderson, with inks by the legendary Joe Sinnott Social/Sharing |

The foundations of the Marvel Universe! This series was made to be a history book where there wasn't as many reprints nor back issues available. Who knew the history of Marvel was so Woke? As an 80's kid, I just thought they were doing the right thing and being heroes.

Marvel Saga was a book that was key to my development as a comic book fan, so this is a tremendous nostalgia piece for me. Congrats on landing this phenomenally great cover!

Killer wraparound cover to the Marvel Saga series. I always enjoyed this series with its retelling of the key moments in Marvel history. Beautiful work by Brent Anderson and Joe Sinnott. I'm especially struck by the opening image of Cyclops and Iceman about to be lynched--A chilling reminder of the days when Mutants were in constant danger--Not just from the Villains, but from the public! Anderson and Sinnott also included cool moments from stories about the FF's troubles with the Puppet Master, as well as updating us on the worlds of Iron Man and Odin! Fabulous cover, congrats!
