DescriptionBatman teams up with his golden age counterpart (sorta) in the finale of the fabled series. I suppose the team-up was a nod to the role that B&B played in transitioning from the Golden to Silver age, but I might be reading into it too much!Full art (pencils/inks/lettering) by Dave Gibbons. Some elements (villain & brimstone) are drawn on a separate overlay. Social/Sharing |

That is a beautiful page by Dave Gibbons. I find it very interesting about the elements that are on an overlay. I wonder why.
Anyway, doesn't matter. Awesome page. Centerpiece of any Bronze Age collection.

The series did bridge the gap between two eras and out lasted Showcase. Gibbons' art accentuates the nuanced differences between the Batmen!

Yowza! Stunning title splash for Brave and the Bold 200 by Dave Gibbons! Batman and the Golden Age Batman each have to battle the enemy named Brimstone (Nicholas Lucien) in their own timeline. Beautiful art by Gibbons who captures the look of each Batman in their different styles of art and in their different styles of costume. He even uses the different logos of the different eras. Behind them is the angry face of Brimstone (Nicholas Lucien) lit (one assumes) by the fiery pits of Hell. Stunning piece of art by one of the masters of comic art. Fabulous pick-up, congrats!

Dave did a great job on the 'retro' Batman look! Congrats!
