DescriptionThis modern sized page comes from Machine Man #2 , pg 22. Nice action page ! There is white out used for corrections in the first panel and the last panel and some blue lines evident. BWS moved the position of the head in the last panel to put in the "This is to easy" balloon - there is a blue line marking in the right lower panel to that effect. Some light pencil markings in the lower margin.Social/Sharing |

The linework seems a little less organic than I'm used to seeing from Barry, but the stylistic signature is definitely there. Nice page!

Makes sense though. Barry will ink other people's work, but not the other way around. I don't think he lets anyone touch his pencils these days. Anyway, I should've remembered that, considering I have multiple copies of that miniseries. Although I don't remember much outside of those great covers!

You don't see the very stiff Trimpe style come through on this page. Looking at the actual page the breakdowns are just blocking out the characters and panels. Barry really had to pencil and ink it, not just ink tight layouts or pencils. Barry did some layouts or loose pencils on RUNE which were inked/finished by Jerry Bingham. Jim Lee inked a cover pencilled by Barry. Here: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=786272&GSub=15645
