Description

SWORD AND JUSTICE
Huile sur toile/oil on canvas, 50cmX100cm/19,7"X39,5".

This painting is part of our exhibition "DIVINES" and can be shipped only from January 11, 2019

I had sworn to no longer make a canvas inspired by Art Nouveau, too delicate, too difficult; it's a challenge of which you necessarily lose. : /
But I'm still quite happy with the result, even though the gestation was as long and arduous as expected.
For the pose as for the staging, I was inspired by "THE REPUBLIC", by Gérôme., By adapting the pose and the curves to make it closer to the language of Art Nouveau ... and obviously, I I was inspired by Mucha for the decorative elements.

This one really caught my eye, in your exhibition catalog, Fred! Gorgeous and inspired! If only I were rich and could buy all I wanted. :)
