Description

The Quest for Kalevala is Don Rosa�s take on Finland�s 19th century national epic poem Kalevala. A huge hit in Finland for sure, and arguably one of Rosa�s best efforts. All the original pages once resided in a Finnish collection and were given Finnish lettering.

This particular page depicts a story within a story - a graphic presentation of Kalevala for beginners, as given to Scrooge and Donald. Featuring the wizard hero V�in�m�inen, his kantele, the sort-of evil Northern witch Louhi and the magical device Sampo - all you need to enjoy this great story!

Great to know where this artwork locates, thanks a lot for sharing! :-)

Reconstruction of the story, getting original artwork into same location once again is impossible like building Sampo again.

For Finnish readers this is really special story!
