DescriptionAs some of you may be aware, the stories of both the Turtles and Matt Murdock, have an implied connection; Matt being the young man that knocks the blind man out of the way of the truck carrying ooze, which later blinds Matt and brings the turtles as we knew them to life. As a huge daredevil fan, I have always wanted to put this team-up on paper. Since the creators of The Turtles, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, have admitted to being huge daredevil fans themselves, I thought I would mention a few other similarities to the two stories:1. Ninja Clans - The HAND and The FOOT 2. Daredevil's Master is Stick - The Turtles Master is Splinter 3. Both Elektra and Raphael are both donned in red and use the Sai as their weapon If you know of any others please let me know. The reboot of the Turtles will be coming out soon and the movie rights to daredevil are back at marvel. IMO a crossover between these two is long overdue. When I pitched the idea of this commission to Scott he was really excited about doing it. He came back at me with several great layouts that, needless to say, were very hard to choose from. Scott is absolutely amazing; he managed to get the front view of all the main characters, the perfect coordination of attacks, the foot soldier facing you (so you can see his clan on his forehead), etc. I especially like Michelangelo diving in the midst and grabbing Kingpin. Anybody else up for this Team-Up? I hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed the process from beginning to end. Scott, Thank you so much for such an unbelievable job on penciling and inking this GEM. Social/Sharing |

This is such an amazing idea, and beautifully executed by Scott, who is such a perfect fit for these characters. Kudos to you for recognizing the link between the Turtles and DD. Only Scott can jam so many characters and not make it seemed crammed. Hats off to you

I had no idea about the links between DD and the TMNT!!! And seriously? SERIOUSLY? This is fantastic beyond words!!! So much is going on but it not 'static'. I love this... it is as perfect as it gets. Huge congrats, hon. You have the best ideas for commissions and Scott knocked this one out of the park!

I've always loved the fact that the TMNT's origin was tied to Daredevil. Such a great idea for a commission. Congrats!

Strangely, I was just talking about the TMNT/DD connection with Andy Kuhn earlier today. Anyway, this is pretty much the best thing ever. Scott did an awesome job.

What an amazing idea, I can't believe nobody has come up with this before. They should use this piece for the book if they ever make one. Congrats on this outstanding piece.

HUGE Congratulations D.
This is without any doubt, the BEST Scott McDaniel DAREDEVIL commission I have seen. The artwork has a slight retro look to it, which adds to the charm of having the Ninja Turtles in it. The composition and execution is superb !!!!

Very, very cool concept. Most people have no idea of the connections, that tmnt was essentially one big parody that turned out to have legs. This piece is beautiful. Well done!
