Description

An early rendition of the Warrior Princess for his DC series, New Frontier. Here we have the Warrior Princess fresh from battle. Note the blood splatter on Diana, her sword and the blood slowly pooling at her feet.

Seen in blue pencil is an alternate position for Diana�s left arm. Ultimately, Darwyn played up the warrior aspects of Diana with her holding a shield (with a few enemy arrows stuck in it for good measure) in her left hand to compliment the sword in her right.

I am not sure where he was going with the single star.
