Recently had some great conversations with a fellow collector who happens to have the largest collection of Johnny Bruck art out there. So on top of chatting with an interesting guy, I also purchased some amazing art.

I've always loved the "camp" of sci-fi pulp novels, especially the covers. So grabbing an example of one of themes prolific genre artists was a no brainer. As always I looking for a cover that speaks to me, and this one punched a lot of buttons. Robots, destruction, and WWI era man vs machines from the future. As we always say, because it's true, it is even more stunning in person!

This particular cover is for the German Sci-fi book Perry Rhodan #464 "Der Falsche Ganjos" or "The False Ganjos" and is gouache on illustration board. Published in 1970. (one year after I was born!)
