DescriptionThe title ran every other month with an even longer gap between #8 and #9 until it's cancellation after #12. Here's the 13th cover for Claw the Unconquered (check the Cancelled Comic Cavalcade Vol 1 #1, 1978). It has the original pasted on title stats, unlike the cover for #14 which had stats added later by a collector. In the fall of 1978 DC was cranking out these special All-New 44 pagers at .50 cents each, then suddenly DC imploded and canceled a bunch of titles. In December 1979 the cover was published in Spanish as Aventura #934 for Mexican editorial Novaro. Prime Kubert cover! Love it. Too bad Claw got cancelled. I was curious to see his adventures continue with one hand. This was well before Aquaman ripped off the same idea.

Congrats on an epic Kubert cover! I never read Claw the Unconquered, but you're right... the title character does look like a bit of a cross between Conan and Tarzan. Perfect example of Kubert.
