DescriptionI will classify my first visit to Comic Art Live as a success. I didn't plan very well so went into it a little cash strapped after spending quite a bit over the last few months, but this gem caught my eye. My son (11) is huge on WWII at the moment and it's all we've talked about for the last year it seems. Not sure if it was THAT, or just the striking image of the gas masks, but either way I had to have it.My thanks to fellow CAFer Chris Able for the painless transaction and the speedy delivery! Generally speaking I like for my art purchases to stand alone as a piece of art, between the subject matter and Nick Runge's style, this one sure fit the bill! Social/Sharing |

This is really cool! You got a nice example of Nick's art. I didn't read that one but I own a lot of Nick's paintings and he was a great cover artist. Very much like a young Drew Struzan in his style and compositions. Sadly for comic art collectors, he left the biz to do his own art, but good for him as he has found happiness and success in the fine art field.

Thanks Dave! It was an impulse by for my 11 year old son who is really into WW2. The image definitely appealed to me.
