DescriptionI've been wanting a Bachalo commission for a long time. He's got a great style that I think is pretty much unique and distinct!!!!Anyway, if you look at the floating heads (from left to right), you'll see a young infant and it ends with a skull. Chris told me this is his depiction of a person aging through the years. I really enjoyed talking to him about my commission and what he was trying to do. Very cool experience!!!! I also have to give kudos to Tim Townsend for another masterful inking job. I can't believe Chris has been working in comics since Sandman #12 issue. A great artist who is also a wonderful friend. Chris's work is excellent as usual but the ink work on this is astounding. Bravo Tim! Great piece.

A perfect choice for your commission. Chris & Tim did a superb job on this piece. I would probably take this over any of their X-Men covers. Congratulations on a fabulous Bachalo/Townsend masterpiece!

I love the way Bachalo designed this piece, I love the way the black flows through the design, it's so rhythmic. Chris uses such complex patterns of black and white here and Tim makes all the right choices to make it read beautifully, with clarity. The technique on the right wing there is gorgeous. Brilliant!

Bachalo hit it out of the park in composing this one...and Townsend's inks make it explode off the page. Incredible commission.

Joe this work of art is wonderful. As a huge Sandman fan, it is so well executed and comprehensive...I can't stop looking st it. Well done my friend.

I look at your gallery all of the time, cause it's probably one of the best on CAF, and somehow I missed seeing this piece. Just fantastic! Would make a great cover. I really hope that we get to see Chris work on another Death limited series some day. With Tim on inks. Great peice!

Wow! What an amazing Chris Bachalo commission. Love all the detail Bachalo put in this one. Love all the floating skulls, the Sandman mask, the little guy playing the harp, the stars, the birds and fish and the locked Grimoire...I could go on and on because Chris really threw the book at this one. Stunning piece, congratulations!
