This period of Bachalo with Townsend was all manner of amazing! The amount of slick inks along with a fair amount of crosshatching gave all sorts of texture on the glossy paperstock. This Professor X drawing is him as Swaggy X, just chillin' even though he's supposed to the prisoner on Alcatraz of Toad and the Brotherhood.

Man-oh-man did you NAIL it! I love their work in general, but this is by far my favorite period of their evolution! I'm a big fan of the hatcing/cross-hatching and great ink work!

Love seeing these older UXM Bachalo/Townsend pages posted! They really killed it on this run, bringing something IMO we hadn't seen before to the X-Men! Love the stylized look of Toad here - creepy last panel! Congrats!
