DescriptionI love Benes' Supergirl and here I have six of them! (Well, six and half with Powergirl.) So many Supergirls that they wouldn't fit on just one comic page, they needed a DPS to get all together! A statue of Superman in the background in his Fortress of Solitude. I am very excited about this piece!!!This was colored by Thomas Mason. http://mycolorist.com/ Social/Sharing |

WOW ! great ! Can I mention something ? a little -mistake- in the colorig, young Kara, the one sitting and the one that looks the youngest used a blue miniskirt. hehe, just a tiny comment.

Don't blame the colorist for the young Kara having a red skirt. I asked for it to be a red skirt like on the cover of Supergirl #78. I just liked it better. I believe the first Supergirl wore a dress not a skirt so the color was all blue. The headband on the Supergirl on the far right is a little different than the one that died in Crisis on Infinite Earths. Am I complaining? Not a chance :) !

Words cannot describe how good this drawing is. One of if not the best Ed Benes commission I have seen. My favorite has always been the 70s hot short and low cut blouse costume. If you do not mind me asking how much did this cost you? And how did you get him to do it?

Awe-inspiring, Mr. Hughes! I'm deeply envious of your gorgeously-colored Supergirl retrospective Gallery. (Sigh!) Years ago I collected the complete run of Kara's stories in Action Comics; and you are correct in believing her first uniform to be a full dress, for there was one storyline which required her to take the belt off for use elsewhere. Your chosen preference IS more distinctive, and I thank you for initiating this unique display.
