Description

This is THE quintessential Damian Wayne as Robin page. Here he is on his "throne" getting ready to challenge all previous Robins. Quite the little brat. Pat's skill for layout and detail are at their finest with this piece, and Mick Gray's inks are perfect as ever! The lower half of the page (the chair with Damian in it) was carefully cut out and pasted back onto the board by Mick Gray himself. This was to give the effect of the chair floating infront of the jumbo screen behind him. The effect in person is jaw-dropping. All that is missing in this picture is a cat in Damian's lap. I am partial to drapery in comic art, and the detail in Robin's clothing and cape are beyond amazing.

*** This piece also came with the patch for the upper section, and a mock-up for the page with Pat's original pencils (see below for images of them).

SPECIAL NOTE: The inking on the patch was done by Pat Gleason himself since there was not enough time for him to send it to Mick Gray before publication.
