DescriptionThis is a model sheet from the early 80s Spidey cartoon, featuring Electro. The cool thing about this sheet is the backstory I received from Rick Hoberg. Apparently, this particular model was created with Rick's finishes over John Buscema's roughs. John actually came to New York at the time at Stan Lee's request, to help aid in the design of the show.I appreciate Mr. Hoberg's reply. Pretty cool story. Also, I am always looking for Sunbow animation cels, be it Spidey, Transformers, The Hulk, or G.I. Joe. Social/Sharing |

I agree, Joseph. I hope he gets a boost in his popularity with the next Spiderman movie, albeit with an alteration to his origin. I've always thought he was a bit underutilized for his power set.

Love this piece! Electro and the Rhino were always my two faves in the animated series...I personally still like his 'older' look after all these years :)

I agree that Electro's voice and his power set were always a favorite of mine on Saturday mornings in the early 80s. For me, it's him and Juggernaut in the X-Men crossover episode, and Green Goblin trying to contaminate the city water supply :)
