DescriptionMy first art received in 2015.Happened to be the one I've been wanting for a while now. It's no secret that I love Simone Bianchi's art and the way he draws Wolverine. I already have his inked art and ink wash art, so when his sister / art rep contacted me late last year asking if I'd be interested in a painting commission, I did not think twice. This painting is done in acrylic paint on canvas. I'm still in awe whenever I see this painting. Ever since I saw the scan, the first time I opened the package and every time I see it in person. There's a certain quality that only Simone can deliver. And so finally, a full color painting of Wolverine by Simone Bianchi in my collection. Thank you so much Simone and Gloria. Always a pleasant experience with them. Social/Sharing |

I went with black on black to make the piece "shine" even more. I must say the flat black border and the suede black matt do give a nice contrast to it. Thank you again for the wonderful comments.

Wow, I shudder to think what this must have cost, but it looks like it was worth every penny :)

I am normally not a big fun of painted comic OA, but this one is absolutely stunning: the layout, the colours, the mood, the camera angle. Everything is perfetct. Congratulations, I hope this piece will find its way to some printed books sooner or later (like, "The return of the Wolverine"?)

I personally feel that Simone was born to draw/paint Wolverine. He has a distinct style that goes well with the character. And I feel that this setting, the snowy scenery, is perfect for Wolverine. It would be great if this becomes a cover one day. Simone is well known for a cover artist. His works are mostly, if not all, cover quality.

Bianchi clearly has a special connection with this character - and it shows in this piece.
