DescriptionTeen Titans v1 49, Page 12. 1977.I now own a page of true Titans history! Teen Titans 49 was the only issue in which member Mal Duncan assumed the identity of the Hornblower and wore perhaps the worst costume in Titans history. The costume was designed by a Teen Titans superfan, and I can only assume made it to the printed page from some sort of contest prize. Mal was only the Hornblower for this issue and the costume only appeared in 7 panels. By the end of the issue, Mal became the Guardian. This page shows Mal in his Hornblower costume as Robin announces he, Harlequin (who just announced her new identity and costume in the last panel of the previous issue), and Bumblebee (who was also brand new) joined the team.
