Description

This is one of the pages Kevin Maguire pencilled for "The Adventures of Captain America" #3 that was never published. Maguire was behind on the 3rd issue, so Marvel went with Kevin West to finish up the issue and the series. Maguire had completed pages he hadn’t submitted to Marvel when he was replaced and as a result those pages would remain in their penciled state, unpublished. The previous owner had this page inked by Bob Mcleod. It’s fun to compare Maguire’s unpublished pages to the published versions pencilled by Kevin West.

I could be wrong, but wasn't this story the first time an artist drew out each scale on Cap's costume? Either way, Kevin Maguire rules!
