DescriptionThe Sentinels #59 (Jan 1967)"The Lethal League" In this issue, the Sentinels must round up the greatest villains on earth to stop an even greater danger! Can they survive the recruiting process? ~~~~~~~ Based on Adventure Comics #352 Public domain superheroes go after some of my own villains (Chthonak, Emulex, Dreadhelm, and Cyborilla) and Madam Satan. My request to the Fraims was: Howabout a cover based on this idea: Fighting Yank - beside him is a large image of the Lethal League and label "The Lethal League" with images of each member and their name.He stands with a picture (maybe just a headshot) of Madam Satan raised in the air and says to his fellow Sentinels: "SENTINELS! TO THE AIR-CARS! SEARCH THE WORLD! FIND THE LETHAL LEAGUE ... OR THE PLANET DIES!" The Sentinels each rush off with a picture in hand of headshot of one member of the Lethal League: Man o' Metal + Cyborilla pic (the classic "battle-wagon" version) Nelvana + Emulex pic Magno + Dreadhelm pic The Flame + Chthonak pic Social/Sharing |

A nice homage to the Adventure Comics era Legion seeking out " The Fatal five ". Very cool.

As much as I have been enjoying your recent posts for the Standard Universe Encyclopedia,I'm glad to see a New Sentinels cover! The Fraims knocked this out!

OOOOOHHHH such '60's goodness here! I love the feel of the time period in this cover and the inspiration by such a great story from the Legion, priceless. The Fraim Bros. really punch it with this cover. I so want to read this book!

Here's a little peak behind the curtain. When we drew this cover, we didn't realize the idea was inspired by the cover to Adventure Comics #352 which is why our layout is so different. Thank you all for the kind comments! We do appreciate it and enjoy playing in The Sentinels' universe!

Which is nothing like a One-Minute-Later at all ;-)
