3 of 3 "The man crush" The title I'm using "man crush" comes from something I told a very dear friend. (You know who you are ;) After Fallcon I scanned some pieces and sent the images to him and I told him that after seeing Dan's sketch, I was developing a serious man-crush on the guy. Wonderful, friendly, and a really great person that I was fortunate enough to get a sketch from. He asked me if I was secure enough in my masculinity to say that and after days of thinking it over, I said yes. Yes I was. Once in a while I will see an artist doing a sketch and say to myself, "Why didn't I ask for a Strawberry Shortcake drawing or whatever other obscure character comes to mind because that drawing looks so cool?" I walked up to Dan's table and the drawing was upside down. I wasn't sure what character he was drawing at first and I thought, "Why didn't I ask for that...Green Lantern... Soranik... OMG!! I did ask for that!!!" Dan knocked this out of the park as far as I'm concerned. Colored paper, Kirby dots, cool lighting on her face, and everything else. Since I didn't want to limit the love to one man (still secure in my masculinity) because everyone there was equally awesome, I decided to go with this for the sub heading. Hope you get a chuckle out of it. Dan, if you're out there, thanks again. I love it! (once again, still secure ;)
