At the Art to Heart: Philippine Typhoon Relief Fund - Benefit Concert event at The Uptown in Oakland on March 21, 2014, I saw Enrico Casarosa again after a long time in which he was very busy with work. At the Uptown, one upstairs room was dedicated to paintings created for the art auction. Another room was dedicated to Pick and Pay pieces. Anything up on the display boards was available for immediate sale. Several artists were seated and drawing away. Enrico walked up to the table and started drawing. His first bambino went to a young lady and his second to a man waiting nearby. I didn't want to be pushy, but Enrico turned to me and asked if I wanted one. As much as I love this drawing, I love the consideration Enrico showed for me. I don't think any of his drawings reached the boards, but were claimed as he was drawing them. His La Luna watercolor sold for over $1,000. Enrico's La Luna was nominated for an Oscar for animated short. At the Alameda County Library where I work, we have Enrico's Eisner Award nominated Venice Chronicles and Three Trees Make a Forest in the collection.
