DescriptionCommission sketches on six X-men #1 blanks. CGC SS 9.8 (Psylocke), 9.6 (X-23, Domino, Kitty Pryde, Rogue) and 9.4 (Pixie).I'm a big fan of the large X-men fight scenes that Daniel Govar has previously done, and approached him about doing one of those on a series of connecting blank comic book covers. I initially had 3-4 covers in mind, but he suggested 6 so he'd have enough room to come up with this spectacular scene depicting an attack on the X-men's Utopia island by sentinels. I named the characters and he did the rest, including coming up with a layout that placed one character on each book cover. Daniel is a great, talented artist and I'm really excited to have this awesome piece in my collection. Thanks, Dan! Social/Sharing |

It's also fun to see how the individual action taking place on each cover interacts with other covers, like Psylocke cutting off the hand about to blast Pixie. Or Domino knocking the sentinel off balance with a rifle shot so its beam narrowly misses the dodging Kitty.

Wow! Some of the coolest blank cover commissions I've seen. Daniel's work is awesome.

Hans! I commissioned Daniel to do a Domino vs. Taskmaster piece and when we were chatting about it, he showed me this as a work in progress. Nice to see it's gone to a good home. Love your collection.

Love your collection.Hey and thanks, man! It's cool that he showed it off to you. Not all artists are open to the added complexity of something like connected covers, but some seem to enjoy the challenge and the opportunity to make something cool. I think Dan fits into that second category. From what he's said, he had fun working on it. :)

What a fantastic set of blanks! Deserves to be a print!
Have you ever considered having some digital out the trade dress and make it one nice poster?
