DescriptionFew comic boooks tales haft left the impression on me that the Nail did. Alan's seminal tale managed to utilize so much of the DCU but the standout for me was always his portrayal of the Batman, which made his take on the BoG a MUST have. Happy to finally have a piece by a true leegnd in the industrySocial/Sharing |

SO glad to see Alan Davis contribution to your gallery. He is one the finest Bat artists. Now Mark Farmer or Robin Riggs to ink it?

Yet another gem in your collection. Mark Farmer or Paul Neary could work some magic over this.

My first exposure to Alan Davis was Batman:full circle and i was blown away. Now his work hasn't changed much over the years but in my opinion that's because it doesn't need to. Alan's art has that timeless appeal to it and he's been able to take this style into each new decade with the same level of popular success. His take on batman is really satisfying and I always wondered why he hasn't done a nice run of batman comics sometime in the past 20 years. Congrats on another great addition to your batman gallery Aric.

This is outstanding--from the lighting, to the composition, to the sly look on Batman's face! Pure magic!

Whenever I see a great Davis piece like this all I can think of is Byrne joking about how long he's been trying to steal Davis''s shading style, and failing :)

Fantastic, Ari. Rarely do I get to see such a detailed and finely shaded piece of art such as this one. :)

So clean and confident. Alan's so good that Batman actually looks happy. That's no small feat.
