DescriptionAfter so many years of collecting, finally I have made a move to get my first Byrne page. Even being so many art from the author out there, It's been difficult to find one that I'd like and could afford. The Namor and Next Men era is the last one I really appreciated John Byrne's work, so it's good to have a nice example of that. Plus I always liked the idea of Namor turned into a businessman.Social/Sharing |

Y mira que Byrne tiene página! Suerte con tu búsqueda, viendo tu colección, seguro que será espectacular!

Agreed Namor was one of the last good works from Byrne. I really liked his use of zip-a-tone. This is a quiet yet really great page. Congratulations!

I tend to agree on Namor being his last quality work though I find the first She Hluk issues beautifully drawn and he is been doing some nice work at IDW

Ahhhh Namor, on the old Duo-Tone art boards! I wonder how those art pages held up over time. This was a great period for John, Namor and She-Hulk were great under his reign.

Namor looks more like James Bond here to me than a business man. Regardless, very nice page! Congrats!

Fabulous choice - lovely pick-up for a first Byrne! His use of the craft-tint is great, and I have to say Namor looks more dangerous as a businessman in black than his usual skimpy briefs! Really good score.

Nice cinematography by JB here, and you gotta love the duo-tone board artwork!

I really enjoyed Byrne's take on Namor, it was so original. And I always like seeing veteran artists using old-school tricks like craft-tint and duo-tone. Very nice page!

Totally agree that Byrne had a unique and very interesting take on Namor--and I loved his use of zip-at-tone, very unusual move in those days; just like that he was putting a lot of thought into his craft.

Beautiful example of a John Byrne 'Namor' page! Love the layout and all the "thick black lines" in that last panel. Really fun for the eyes. :) As a reader, I still feel to this day that Mr. Byrne was having a lot of FUN on 'Namor', utilizing tools like duo-shade pages and taking the stories in places that felt fresh and new (despite the character being one of Marvel's oldest). Loved the run, and love this page! Congrats.

(Really cool 'John Byrne' signature there, too. ;) )
