Description

Jim Lee was in Mantova Comics Convention in 2006 for one of his many Italian appearances. The organizers took a list of 20 free sketches, and I made sure to get there before doors opened, cause I already tried 2 times with no luck to get a sketch years earlier. I still got into the list as #17 or #18 and put myself in line. When Jim arrived, there already was an unhappy crowd who found out the list was closed. He asked: do you prefer 10 well-done drawings or quick sketches for all? You can imagine the sad faces of the first ten in line at the crowd's response... So Jim decided to do a sketch for EVERYONE. By everyone he meant not only the full list, but he also stayed there all day drawing until the crowd was done. Great guy, it's sad that eBay flippers ruined this...

When my turn came I was trying to decide if I wanted to ask for a Punisher or a Catwoman Sketch... so I thought: "I'll ask Jim to choose" and he obviously said: "no, YOU choose!" I went with the Punisher and when he was done he also added a tiny Catwoman!

Very hard decision. I myself would have gone with a Catwoman request.

Well I'm more an old school 80's/90's Marvel fan, and since I'll never sell this one I went with an unpopular choice!
