Description

Attilio Micheluzzi (Umago, Istria, hoy Croacia, 11 agosto 1930 - Nápoles, 20 septiembre 1990). Original (2º de 12) perteneciente a la décimonovena historia de la serie Johnny Focus, titulada L'ostaggio. Publicada en la revista Orient Express, nº 1 (junio 1982). Tinta china aplicada con pincel y plumilla sobre cartulina de dibujo. Algunos toques correctores de gouache. Textos a lápiz en los bocadillos. Dimensiones: 49,7 x 34,9 cm. Sin firma.

Johnny Focus fue una serie creada por Micheluzzi en 1974. En ella se narran las vicisitudes de un reportero gráfico llamado John (Johnny) Hansen que, por razones obvias, recibe el apodo de "Focus" y que se ve envuelto en diferentes aventuras que transcurren a lo largo y ancho del mundo entero. Su primera aparición se produjo en las páginas de la revista Corriere dei Ragazzi, con el relato titulado Una notte a Bangkok. En dicha revista publicó el autor italiano otras diecisiete historias, antes de que el personaje pasara a las páginas de la revista Orient Express, para las que Micheluzzi realizó cinco aventuras más, siendo la primera de ellas a la que pertenece esta plancha (que se encuadra, por tanto, en la segunda etapa del personaje). Posteriormente Micheluzzi crearía nuevas series, dejando abandonada la de Jhonny Focus, de la que ya no volvería a dibujar nada más. Quizá por el hecho de que Orient Express fuera una publicación dirigida a un público más adulto que el de Corriere dei Ragazzi, estas cinco nuevas historias del reportero fotográfico muestran una mayor atención hacia la situación política internacional de la época y unas tramas argumentales más complejas.

yeah my page has that too. http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1091106&GSub=153198 I guess they did that to make it easier to translate into other languages? still great pages!
