Description

In the Donald Duck newspaper strip, Charles Alfred Taliaferro and his main scriptwriter Bob Karp could present more "adult" themes and images than Barks could in his comic book stories. Not least in the strips during World War II. Violence, for instance, was just around the corner in the taliaferran Duck�s war experience. Like in this 1942 daily.
First comic book reprint in Walt Disney�s Comics and Stories 33.
The German publisher 313 made a lithograph out of this daily (as well as a few other Taliaferro dailies) in the early 1990s. This is the original, though.
