DescriptionThis piece dates only from a few years ago (it has been published in Volume 3 of the Neal Adams DC Hardcover Anthology - thanks to Jovi Neri for the tip!), but, to me, it really captures the essence of the "Classic" 70's Batman Neal launched with such devastating impact!I clearly remember the first Batman/Adams stories I read, published in the DC Anthology titles that were, at the time, the only regular outlet for comic-book publishing in France... Among the various stories published, a mixed bag of 50's and early 60's tales, Neal's figures were strikingly jumping off the page! He made all the other stories look so tame in comparison that it took me years to re-evaluate those... and I'm still not done yet! Social/Sharing |

With all due respect to Frank Miller, Jim Lee, Marshall Rogers, David Mazzucchelli, Eduardo Risso, and all the other greats. Neal's Batman was, is, and will always be my favorite. At least from a purely visual standpoint.

No matter what era it was drawn, there is always an inherent joy when one gets to own a Neal Adams Batman. Congratulations!
