DescriptionI've obsessed over this page for seven years. I've begged, pleaded, cajoled, wept, whined, implored, bribed... nothing... crickets... Then this morning the sun came out, the songbirds sang, and I thought to myself, "this is the day." And it was. And it is. This page has been my number one grail for the seven years I knew about its existence and location. Here it is. I can quit now.Social/Sharing |

Beautiful page, Redondo was such a master--and this is a spectacular example of his work. Congrats on achieving your grail--the full story behind how you got the page must be a good one!

That is a sweet splash--congrats! To me, shades of Neal Adams' influence as well.

I have no clue who Black Orchid is, and I'm relatively unfamiliar with Redondo's work; but there is no denying this a beautiful page. I know what it's like to finally add a long desired piece to one's collection, so I wish you a hearty congratulations for securing this lovely personal grail, and thanks for sharing!

As Aidan Lacy already posted my catch phrase (It's true that every time a comic art collector acquires a long sought grail, you hear a bell, and an angel gets his wings), I'll just add: Long-sought grail + Nestor Redondo + gorgeous example of the great man's work + home at last in Roger's collection that loves it most = why we love this hobby!

A beautiful splash page from a true artist. Nestor really knew how to layout, and render an exciting page didn't he? Has the feel of a Warren magazine design, with how the type is rendered, and placed. Congratulations!

That page is just so graphically beautiful it hurts the eyes. That's what is all about in that era.
