DescriptionI had actually not seen a whole lot of Phil Noto's art prior to acquiring this piece. To help with the disaster in the Philippines this last year, Chris Uminga organized the Station!Donation charity auction with the help of Station! studio (Chris Uminga, Chrissie Zullo, Sara Richard, Billy Fowler, Matthew Fletcher, Mike Choi, sorry if I missed anyone) where this piece was up for auction and I fell in love with it. The shading around the characters' noses really astounds me (a bit weird to note, I'll admit). There is a realism and individuality to each character as well with a bit of playfulness to Supergirl and a bit more seriousness to Batgirl that both offsets the characters and also binds them. I feel very fortunate to have been able to get this one.Social/Sharing |
