DescriptionAnother of my childhood heroes that I think is unjustly overlooked, Jean Cézard created 1000's of pages for popular comic magazines from the 50's to the 70's. Still, it's practically impossible to find his work today, as the vast majority has not been republished in album format...One of his 2 most popular strips, Arthur le Fantôme Justicier, is very typical of his specific mix of zany humour and wide scope of stories, with his main character travelling time and space at his convenience to find adventure. In this story, he's back with the cavemen to help with the launch of a Pop Star!... However improbable, this gells perfectly due to the huge talent of Cézard who easily conjures apparently unconnected elements and forces them into a very coherent anf dynamic tale. A well-composed page, with fantastic details that never distract from easy reading, this is what Cézard has been turning up for decades! Social/Sharing |
