DescriptionAn early twice up Amazing Spider-Man page by his co-creator, Steve Ditko. This page has been restored by a professional restoration-conservator. All four corners had to be recast; the 2 left corners, paper only. The 2 right corners needed a small amount of art redone; panel 3 has the vertical lines above the word balloon and the upper right hand curve of the balloon re-inked. Panel 9 has a small portion of the boards in the lower right of the panel, behind Spider-Man, redrawn. Panel 4 has a small tear sealed, above and to the left of the Lizard's head, and into the tail of the word balloon. Darn dog. I can't imagine the owners expression when he saw what happened. Fantastic page. (I traded this from Pete Koch back in the day for two Dark Knight pages...I sold it years later at Sotheby's to buy my first home.) I love these early pages!

What kind of an a-hole would let dogs get anywhere near art like this!?!?

A wonderful page from the earliest known ASM issue to have hit the market. Congratulations, great to see more of these pages out there!

These early pages are the best. The costume and action all so familiar despite the intervening years.

I remember many years ago hearing about the dog tearing apart the package of art. truly Amazing they survived. Hold on to history as long as you can David. Wow what a page.

Phenomenal Ditko Spider-Man page! You've got both Spider-Man AND the Lizard! Such a cool page! I'm jealous!
