Description

This Wolverine A-1 cel drawing ("A" means top layer and "1" is the first in the sequence) was the first of many cel drawings used in the opening sequence when Wolverine puts his claws together and produces the electric field. When the sequence number is circled in the upper right, it's an indication that a senior animator produced the sketch. I've composited all the cel drawings from this sequence I could find to show how the drawings work together to create the movement from the intro we all grew up with.

Amazing animation illustration from an unforgettable intro sequence! Love the way you put the images together to show in the description and appreciate the explanation/information about it's background from an animation art perspective, love learning that stuff.

Oh man, KEY cel art if I've seen it! Wolverine XTAS opening...can't beat it. Congrats, Tommy!
