Description

Extremely rare hand drawn model cel by the late and great Russ Heath. Heath was the primary character designer for the entirety of the Sunbow/Marvel G.I. Joe cartoon series and one of the few people that got to draw for the cartoon in America. Russ's designs would be sent across the globe to Japan where they came up with the storyboards, layouts, cel drawing and painted the cels based on Heath's designs.

This model cel was used for the very first episodes of G.I. Joe which was a 5 episode mini series simply titled "A Real America Hero" but has been known by fans as the M.A.S.S. device.

The Baroness - was depicted with a blue jump suit with yellow collar and green glass lenses for the MASS series which was later changed to clear lenses and an all black suit.

Cover Girl - who's long blonde hair and green jacket were only featured in the MASS mini series and later changed to short auburn hair and brown jacket to match her action figure.

General Flagg - noted for giving the special counter-terrorist group the name G.I. Joe and only appeared in the MASS mini series.

Misc characters, most notably the giant slave that Duke fought in the arena and the basic look of the disposable Cobra soldier.
