Description

I'm really happy to have this piece plus the Robotech Genesis cover added to my collection. Robotech was my first exposure to Anime and I fell in love with it. I have many happy childhood memories about Robotech. This is the cover to Robotech the Graphic Novel: Genesis first published in 1986. It was airbrushed by Ken Steacy and features most of the key figures from the series.

This storyboard is fully coloured and features the most prominent characters from the Macross era of Robotech including: Rick, Lisa, Minmei, and Kyle. It is about 11x17 and coloured in what appears to be pencil crayon. It is truly impressive. The artist is unknown.

I acquired this piece from Svea Macek, the widow of Carl Macek. I had the great fortune to meet Carl personally at SDCC 1997. We had a fabulous chat about Robotech and he kindly drew an RDF logo in my sketch book. I still have that sketch. I'll see about posting both soon.
