Description

This was a reward of sorts for making a donation to assist Radio Comix Online with some issues they had run into. Similar to a kickstarter or the like, there were five commission slots available that were most generously donated by Stan Sakai.

I was SO incredibly lucky to get one of the five slots, as they were all gone literally in under fifteen minutes from being posted. I just happened to be checking the site when they went up, so I was actually the first one to donate and select the appropriate "reward."

I basically asked Stan to draw armored Usagi and something with Sakura, and let him just take it from there.
He said he really enjoyed drawing this one, as he enjoys the symbolism of the sakura (the ephemeral nature of life) and it shows.

One of my most treasured pieces of art, drawn by one of the most humble and friendly guys in comics.
