DescriptionI hope Craig doesn't mind, but his description of the piece was spot on, so I've copied it below:"Hannibal crossing the Pyrenees mountains with his tell tale elephants in tow. Here is a man that made Rome and it's strength tremble in fear. This all happened about 218 BC. I LOVE that Krenkel drew a scene of this period in history! This original pen and marker drawing has written on it: RGK Hannibal No. 2. I am guessing the significance of the "No. 2" on the drawing is to define that this is a second draft or attempt at the layout. Masterful image showing the thought in motion and process of the master. I consider myself lucky to even own something of this quality and subject matter! Unfortunately Roy passed away in 1983. I value this art even more knowing that there will never be another image drawn. Roy was the man!" Thanks Craig- that says it all! Social/Sharing |

Wonderful piece! Great staging and composition as always from RGK and the beautiful tonality of it makes it read like a painting.
