These Jones pieces were purchased quite a while ago. Jeff had a web site and was selling some of his art through the site. I had originally purchased a piece, but when it arrived I was a little disappointed because it was much smaller than I had anticipated (Jeff did not indicate the size of the art on the site). I wrote and inquired about returning the piece and I received a reply from �Catherine� who I assumed was Jeff�s wife or agent. Needless-to-say, Catherine was not too pleased that I wanted to return the art, but eventually she agreed to allow me to exchange the piece for the two pieces shown in my gallery. I was completely clueless that Jeff was undergoing gender realignment and that I was actually corresponding with Jeff (Catherine).

In the end, I love the two pieces that I now own. I only wish I had had more money at the time, because I would have purchased more art (if Catherine would have let me!). I didn't remember, but I do believe, as someone suggested, that the portrait is of Oscar Wilde (at least there is a remote synapse in my brain that would agree).
