Description

This was commissioned by Keith and picked up at Detroit Fanfare 2013. When i set my sights on an artist to recreate this issue Keith was the first to come to mind. I loved his run on Thor back in the 70's and he also did the last cover for Nova Vol.1(#25). I had Keith add The Corruptor(The villain of that issue)to the cover as he was the reason the two were going at it. I thinks Keith,s pencils are tighter now that they have ever been.Keith went all out on this one! Big thanks to Keith's rep Jeff Jaworski for setting this up for me.This one will get full cover treatment and is being inked by the incredible Gary Martin,which I will post at a later date. Thanks Keith!

I also posted the prelim sketches below, I went with Keith's original version over the one I gave instructions for.

Thanks Kevin. I originally wanted a reversal of the Kirby cover having Thor coming down on Nova from the air,but keith had already drawn the second version and sent me both. I really liked Keith's concept better.

Or three. I think he enjoys spending time with his Wife and doing commissions. He did have a few peices with him that he and his son worked together on. His son penciled and Keith inked. Talent is a family trait at the Pollard house.It was good stuff.

Pollard is one of those artists that I have a greater appreciation for when I see the work in pencil format. This is a terrific piece, congrats!
