DescriptionWhen I commissioned Jeremy Bastian to do a Little Nemo Commission two years ago, I knew it would be good. What I didn't know is just how good. I don't think I am exagerating when I say that Jeremy has created a piece that is on par with some of the best illustration art ever created. It is absoutely impossible to describe the unfathomable detail in this piece of art -- you must see it in person to believe it. The piece measures all of 13" x 9" and the entire thing is inked by BRUSH. Jeremy tells me that he spent two weeks on it, working about 10 hours each day. Since my scanner and camera can't pick up half the detail in the art, I have done my best to provide blow ups of portions of it . . .Social/Sharing |

I wonder if there is a record in Guinness' Book for most art squeezed onto a 13x9 space? This could be it. Jaw-droppingly good.

Wow, that is exceptionally cool. I have seen a few Nemo pastiches, even commissioned a couple, but this is really outstanding.

I'm not familiar with the strip at all, sadly, but as a piece of art, this is exceptional!

Nobody has to create something like this... this appears to be an act of sublime love for McCay's work.

Oh My G...! Ben, this is quite incredible. I mean, it looks like Jeremy was channeling his inner Maxfield Parrish for this piece. Man oh man! Congrats times one thousand!

A very good idea the Slumberland commissions. A stunning piece congrats. I wonder what could do the late artist Massimo Belardinelli in this case________ http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=430801&GSub=67050

That is not just a commission, that is an artist who was totally feeling it. He may as well have been drawing this in 1905.
Stunning.
