Description

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Mike McKone earlier this year at Supanova Expo, in Melbourne, Australia.

I originally commissioned this piece, but due to a number of comic guests getting ill during the con (including Mike), as well as the overwhelming number of pieces that Mike had to get done, he was kind enough to take on the commission outside of the con, and send the piece to me in Australia.

Mike has had a very busy year, so while this piece did take longer than anticipated to arrive, he was so polite and kept me updated every few weeks. To my surprise and despite my offers to pay for the piece, Mike was ever so generous, and provided me with an additional (complimentary) commission of Poison Ivy.

One of the nicest artists and gentleman I have ever met; I take my hat off to Mike, and hope to see him again in the near future.
