Description

THE WIZARD OF OZ Pin-Up Original Art by MIKE MIGNOLA from 1984. This piece was a gift for my son by his Nonna (for those of you who don't speak Italian, that means Grandma). Although the piece was done my Mignola back in 1984, we had a professional art restorationist add a small overlay caption reading: "Maximus Carlo De Agostino 11-20-2009 A.D." to commemorate my sons birth. Mesures 11 x 14 and done in pen and ink on comic art board.

This is outstanding... Maybe a little creepy for the baby's room, but Grandma sure has great taste in art... Very cool.

Hey, Joseph - no way we would hang that in his room... It definitely is a bit scary for Maximus. It's safely stored in the flat file. It's his when he gets older and can appreciate what it is and represents.

Great piece and story (re: the restorative overlay)! I wasn't even aware this piece existed, but it's always nice when 'long lost' treasures resurface!
