Description

Quick story: years ago, I a had a beautiful Neal on Neal B and the B page with Batman in most every panel and Deadman. It was nice, but, what I really wanted was a NA page from the classic GL/GA run. When I saw that one of my favorite books of all time was being split up and sold, I just had to have a page. The beauty of this book was that the studio was cranking back then: Wrightson, Kalooooota (Kaluta), Jeffrey Jones, and they were being farmed to do interesting things. In this case, every lifelike, crafty rule breaking angle, line and dynamic panel penciled by Neal was deftly, softly, craftily delivered in crow quill and brush by Wrightson. This page was made ownable by the fact that neither Hal or Ollie are in costume. Of course, you get a great view of Ollie's Trademark Beard and Bow. Who says they have to be in costume?!?!?

Adams and Wrightson. ANY page by those two, in any combination, is among the best OA of it's era.

That's exactly how I felt! And I just happen to be a Big Green Arrow fan... so with or without the eye blocker and the green tights is always cool, especially with bow!
