DescriptionI love Jae Lee's work from this period, and especially on WIldcats Trilogy because I loved Wildstorm so much. Suring this time he had come over to do Youngblood Strikefile for Liefeld, this for Jim Lee, then his own Hellshock. All of those are the height of his splatter inks phase of his career. Thins page is so much black and white ink, it's insane. This page was part of a large trade deal I did recently and I am glad to have gotten what I did. :)Social/Sharing |

So much ink and splatter that is like a painting on each panel! Highly kinetic in the Jae Lee chaotic style!

Jae would get better artistically and outgrow his savage youth but that's the style that made us notice/love his art.
That Grifter is fantastic and I love the white out explosions.

Congratulations Dave. This piece lived in my blackhole collection for 15 or so years. Glad you and Ben could come to terms on what I am sure worked out as a great trade deal for both of you.

Lee on WC trilogy was great. Also Chiodo complimented his art with the colors.
this stood out more than his Youngblood Strikefile work from the sale time.
and that Grifter moneyshot is tha bombbb. Congrats
