DescriptionI'm a Marvel guy for the most part. But I've been appreciating more and more artwork from DC's Silver Age.There's no doubt that Carmine Infantino was one of the all time greats to ever draw comics. I was really surprised and happy to see this up for sale. Infantino's pencils were top notch on the Flash and the Anderson's inks here are wonderful!!!! Twice up DC and Marvel covers are my main focus now so please lmk if you got anything for sale. Social/Sharing |

Carmine never looked better when Murphy had placed gorgeous inks on top. Awesome stuff here, Joe.

It's a tough call, but I'd take this over the ASM. Lucky you don't have to choose!

Let's see: Major artists at the top of their game -- check. Earth Two crossover -- check. Major villain -- check. Major action -- check. That is a heck of lot to have on one Silver Age cover.

I have a CAF gallery where I list my ten favorite silver age DC covers and Flash 137 is one of them. So naturally I am thrilled to see the original artwork displayed here for all to enjoy. Congratulations from a 1960's DC fan on owning what I consider to be a top ten cover from that era.

Umm... Thanks okay, I guess. If you like beautiful comic book art drawn and inked by masters of their craft at the height of their abilities. [Okay, WOW! What a great find! Congratulations.]

You definitely lit up the comment posts with this most recent update. You cannot go wrong posting both a SA Flash and SA ASM cover for an update that are key covers to both series.

I'm a Marvel guy too, but this cover is even better than the Romita ASM - congrats, Joe!

Congrats on the beautiful cover Joe. Silver Age era DC has such a clean, classic look. There's nothing else like it. One of the best pieces in your outstanding collection.

(From the 60s TV show) Robin (Burt Ward): Holy fantastic finishes, Batman! How did Joltin' Joe get this cover with fabulous Flash-fan Fishler floating about? Batman (Adam West): Some mysteries are too challenging for even the world's greatest detective to solve Robin, but at least we can gaze upon it in wonder (slight pause, bringing hand up to chin and looking towards the sky). Congratulations on a tremendous acquisition my friend!

Joe, a stunning and historic SA masterpiece! But I dont think you understood what I meant by asset class diversification! I meant stocks and real estate! lol. But hey, if you can afford this beauty, how can anyone resist the temptation!

For me, the Silver Age of comics came down to 2 artists: Kirby (Marvel) and Infantino (DC). From the multi-figures to give the illusion of speed, Carmine of course was the definitive Flash artist whose influence still inspires artists today. A great example in his prime period. Cheers! N.

How did I miss this? Great, great cover. Infantino was incredibly talented but sometimes gets overlooked. This cover is classic, but also iconic! And can I add, terrific!
