DescriptionLove this Jonah Hex by Shawn McManus. Love it! Shawn took Jonah Hex and put his own spin on him and did him in his own distinct style. A cartoony Jonah Hex is not what one usually thinks of when you think of Jonah Hex. For me it works and Shawn pulled it off brilliantly. His other eye, amongst other things are bulging out too. The inking for the shadow work is what gives this a fabulous slick finish. It works on the fabric as well as the different textured facades of wood, brick and steel.

Hi Marcus. I really love the big cue ball eye and Jonah's own shadow against the door. But as I don't have a very good eye for art and am always looking to learn, can you point out specifically what other thing on Jonah is bulging out?

It's his heart. He's all Hart.

Ah, I see. You were speaking figuratively, not literally. Yes, Hex may be a stone cold killer, but he means well and definitely has a big heart. Thank you so much for teaching me that sometimes we have to look beyond the surface when looking at art. You mentioned that Hex's eye was one among other things that were bulging. Can you point out another one of those things that are bulging that I should be looking for?
