DescriptionOkay...Here we go. Are you kidding me?!?! Jason continues to bring it with these commissions and he has yet again defied my expectations with my newest request. He posted this to FB on January 16th, but I don't post stuff 'til I actually have them in my hands. Since then, the post has generated 441 (one more and it will be 4-4-2!) likes, 12 shares, and 43 comments. Yes... a FEW of those comments were from me, but so what!! ;P- I love (LOVE!) this piece of art and so does 12 Gauge. They told me they would love to include this in their next "the Ride" collection! I particularly love the lighter; it's the keychain for the Ride itself that Vega deep fries Shabu with at the end of the very first 2 issue mini series! "the Ride" and "Gun Candy" are two of my favorite books out there and to have a commission of one of the main characters from the books by one of my very favorite artists is just too incredibly awesome for me. Thanx so much Mike and Jason!! Everybody buy my stuff in my for sale gallery so I can get signed up for another!! ;P- Social/Sharing |

Nobody delivers like Pearson. Congrats on another one, you know I'm trying to get up the cash to get back on that list!

Another little part of this that makes it even more special for me is that those wheels on the Ride look like they could be Torque Thrust Ds from American Racing and that's what my dad had on his 1966 Olds' 4-4-2. Kid you not. Jason doesn't know this, so it's really kinda creepy cool that he drew those rims on that car, because they are not OEM for the Camaro. Later, Dave!

This is amazing! The character is full of personality and his compositions feel alive and in kinetic motion. As a fan i think it's a crime I can't buy a new Pearson comic every month. He continues to deliver some of the most dynamic, aesthetically pleasing artwork in the realm of comics. I think at his best he transcends the medium, regardless of the subject matter he chooses. Congratulations on this addition to your collection.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking!! ;)- In all seriousness, Jason is one of those artists that I (like you and a buncha others) can't get enough of. He's one of the few artists that just gets better and better over time. Like Joe MAD!, he can draw ANYTHING and make it awesome. Seriously... Have you ever seen Jason do something and not put his unique stamp on it? Me neither. Thanx for the comments, Thomas!
