Another Pearson grail this time from a fellow CAF!

Nice, huh!?!?

Having the art of Jason's for the backs of the cards, I've always wanted one of the pieces that was the front of one of the cards.

(Actually ANY of Jason's old school WS art, but that's a "no duh!" kind of thing...)

Forgive if I'm rambling, but just read the gallery description for "Jason's Head Shots" to see why I'm so excited;

"These pieces are the art for the backs of cards Jason did in 1994 for Wildstorm Series I. They are all in one frame measuring approximately 9"X28". There is a funny story behind the cards themselves. They had JUST come out and a relative of mine (comicartfan Dave Trax) had not seen them yet. He said, "There's a comicon at the Holiday Inn in Oakland, bring 'em down so I can see them." Well, wouldn't ya know... Jason, Cully Hamner, and Brian Stelfreeze just happened to be there and they hadn't seen them yet either. Jason called his Mom over to his table to show her the cards and she immediately ran around trying to find a box for sale. She bought the one and only box. By the way, Jason's favorite card is 'Hestia', my favorite card is 'Providence', and Adam Hughes was SUPPOSED to do the 'Voodoo' card. These pieces were purchased at a much later date from two different people whose names elude me. If anyone has the main art for the Providence card for sale, LMK."

Yes, I had to cut and paste, because I knew you all are too lazy to left-click on over.

Couple more things about this art;

- Didn't know it was signed by Jim Lee! Awesome!
- It's signed by Jason to Kane whom I believe sold me some of the head shots YEARS ago! (Weird, huh?)

Thanx so, so much to Andy for being patient with me (had to sell my Star Wars collection to pay for PART of this!) with getting him the moolah to add this wonderful piece of Jason Pearson/Wildstorm history to this JP/WS freak's collection!!

Thanx, Dave!! It took a LOT of effortscarifice on my part, but I couldn't not get her. Not only is it Jason and Wildstorm, it is just WAY too sentimental. Plus, those extra little things really make it even more special; Jim's sig' and the Kane reference. I really do think I got some of those Head Shots from Kane.

I love (LOVE!) his "angular days"!! The other Eric likes his more cartoonish stuff better, but for me this is the stuff, man. Doesn't get any better. Well, unless I can pry that Pike from you and find the Providence. ;)- Later!
